Chicken with rice in a tomato at home


— 6 legs
— 2 large sweet peppers
— 1 large onion
2-3 cloves of garlic
— 250 grams of rice
— 400 grams of tomatoes in own juice
— 2 teaspoons of ground sweet peppers
— 1/3 teaspoon of red hot pepper
— 3 tablespoons vegetable oil
— salt to taste


1. We prepare marinade. To do this, mix the butter, paprika, salt and pepper. We smeared with this mass the whole leg, previously cut into 2 parts each, covered with a lid and leave to marinate for 40-60 minutes.

2. While the chicken is marinated, chop finely onions and peppers, chop the garlic.
Fry the legs from both sides to a golden crust in oil (turn 2-3 times each piece).

3. Remove from the frying pan and set aside. In the same frying pan fry onion and garlic for 3-4 minutes.

4. Add finely chopped sweet peppers and fry for another 3 minutes. Add the rice and keep on the fire for another 5 minutes. Add the mashed tomatoes along with the juice and 250 ml of water to the stewpan.

5. We put in a saucepan to vegetables and rice chicken, salt to taste and bring to a boil. Cover the lid, reduce the heat and simmer until rice and chicken are ready, about 25-30 minutes.
