Ground beef meatballs with cheese

Ingredients for 2-3 servings:

For meatballs:

300-400g. Ground beef (it can be replaced by any other, pork / beef, chicken mince, gum, etc.)
1 medium bulb
1 egg
1 piece of white bread without a peel, soaked in milk and slightly wrung out
0,5 glasses grated on an average grater of cheese (I have «Parmesan»)
2 cloves of garlic
Your favorite herbs (I added ground coriander and a mixture of «Italian herbs»
A mixture of peppers

For sauce:

1 can of tomatoes in its own juice (700-750gr.)
2 cloves of garlic
1 bay leaves
3 large sprigs of fresh dill
A mixture of peppers
Vegetable oil (I have olive oil), about 3 tbsp.
+ More cheese
Fresh herbs, if desired


Prepare the sauce:

1.We heat a vegetable oil in a frying pan or in a saucepan, add finely chopped cloves of garlic. Fry until garlic begins to give away its fragrance.

2. Let’s press the tomatoes (fork, for example) and add them to the garlic together with the juice.

3. We lead up to a boil under the lid, add a bay leaf and whole branches of dill. Close the lid and let it puff about 10min. Under a lid on low heat. Minutes for 2 to readiness we add spices and salt. We pull out the laurel leaves and dill, we will not need them any more. We leave the sauce at rest under the lid.

Cooking meatballs:

1.Myaso is passed through a meat grinder along with onions, garlic, bread.

2.Add the egg, cheese, pepper, spices and salt (note that the cheese is salty, so add salt taking this into account). All mix.

Serve the croquettes generously with their sauce and sprinkle with fresh herbs.
Garnish can be served with rice, pasta, potatoes.
