How to cook meatballs


For meatballs:

Minced meat (in this case pork) — 400 g
Rice — 1 \ 2 cups of round-grained
Onion — 1 medium onion
Egg — 1 pc.
Flour for breading
Salt to taste
Vegetable oil (for frying)

For gravy:

Tomato paste — 1 teaspoon
Flour — 1 tablespoon
Cream (sour cream) — 1 tablespoon
Water — 1.5 glasses of water


1. Turn the meat through a meat grinder or buy ready-made stuffing.

2. Finely chop the onion with a blender or pass through a meat grinder.

3. Boil rice until done. Allow to cool slightly.

4. Mix the forcemeat, egg, onion, rice. Mix well.

5. Form meatballs with a diameter of about 4.5 — 5 cm. Roll in flour. Put on a heated frying pan with vegetable oil. Fry from all sides (takes about 5 minutes); do not close the lid. Then pour 1 cup of boiling water into the pan so that the water is half the level of the meatballs. Stew for 10-15 minutes.

6. In half a glass of warm water, add cream or sour cream, flour. Stir well so that there are no lumps. Pour into a frying pan. All the mix well. Stew for another 10 — 15 minutes.
Meatballs with gravy can be served with any side dish, for example, mashed potatoes.
